I will be going there to work for the CE Fair on this weekend......

Anyone heard about this fair?

If no, Plese have a look about the press release below:-

PRESS RELEASE THE 2ND CONSUMER ELECTRONICS FAIR (CE FAIR) IS IN TOWN!!!NOVEMBER 05th – 07th, 2010 PWTC, KUALA LUMPUR

The 2nd Consumer Electronics Fair (CE FAIR) will be held at PWTC Kuala Lumpur from 05th to 07th November from 10am to 9pm daily.

The fair is organized by The Selangor & WP (KL) Electrical Home Appliances Dealers’ Association (SWEDA) and the official appointed event management consultancy company to manage the entire fair is IMG Entertainment, a local registered organization conducting businesses in Malaysia and nationwide.

SWEDA is a non-governmental organization and is one of the biggest member associations among the various Federations. It is a representative body of the electrical home appliances industries in Malaysia. Established in 1985, the Association celebrated its 24th Anniversary in September last year.

CE Fair Organizing Chairman who is also President of SWEDA, Mr Alex Chua said in his earlier speech at the 2nd CE Fair launch dinner in April 15th at the Oriental Pavilion Restaurant, Petaling Jaya that CE Fairs were created for the suppliers and its members with the main objective to allow them to excel for improvement and simultaneously to influence, to stimulate and to educate the consumers.

Alex Chua also mentioned in his speech that CE Fairs is not just an ordinary fair in town but it is a fair that represents their core business; which is solely focussed in the electrical and home appliances product unlike other fairs that exhibits a minor part of the said product which in returns, does not gives the consumer full satisfaction due to limited focus on electronics products, limited varieties or brands, and do not provide the full solution to the consumers’ needs.

The 1st CE Fair was organized on a smaller scale at Amcorp Mall, Petaling Jaya in October 2009. SWEDA is greatly encouraged by the good respond, support and participation they received; which is a reflection of their commitment in bringing their companies to greater heights. At the coming 2nd CE Fair, there will be many interesting activities awaits the public.

Visitors can participate in the Crazy 800 – Shop and Win game whereby those who purchase RM800 and above in a single receipt will get to experience the ‘lucky’ blower and stand a chance to win attractive prizes such as a 3D 50” TV sponsored by Panasonic Malaysia, a holiday voucher for 5D/4N for 4 persons inclusive of accommodation at Santana Holiday Resort, Gold Coast sponsored by Leisure Holiday, a Smart Mate massage chair sponsored by Ogawa World plus 40 holiday vouchers for 5D/4N for one person to Shanghai or Guilin, China sponsored by Pelancungan Malinja Sdn Bhd.

Other activities such as 1Malaysia Hunt will encourage visitors to locate 12 Malaysia flags hidden at the selected 21 booths from the total 150 booths. Only those with the correct stamps and completed details will be entitled to redeem a free gift. Gifts consist of reload packages for mobile 010 sponsored by XOX Com Sdn Bhd and many others.

Besides this, there will be ‘lucky grabs’ of which freebies will be given away daily (terms and conditions apply). Freebies are given out based on a first-come-first serve basis and whilst stocks lasts! The in-house deejay will continue to broadcast the status of the winners from time to time.

Last but not least, Alex Chua believes that not given much time, CE Fairs would give an ultimate satisfaction to its suppliers, and members while to the consumers; it will be a good buying experience for all!
